Anthony Anselmo is an author and journalist based in northern Minnesota. His writing has appeared in newspapers and regional publications, including the Grand Rapids Herald Review and Minnesota Conservation Volunteer magazine.
Anselmo’s middle-grade novel, The Spirit of the North Wind was voted best book in the northland in 2023 by the Duluth Reader. Anselmo is currently working on a collection of nature essays that bridge the connection between the outdoors and our own inner worlds.
His work lives at the intersection of nature, mental health, and story. Through essays, journalism, and books, Anthony explores what it means to live a grounded life in a distracted age.
A former fish and wildlife specialist, when Anthony’s not writing, you’ll usually find him walking wooded trails, paddling rivers, or snowshoeing in snow laden forests.
